Chuck “Pop” Kirkland

Baseball and Softball Instruction – Hitting, Throwing, Fielding, and Base Running

Chuck comes to Fundamentals with over 25 years experience playing, coaching, and instructing in baseball and softball.  Chuck has placed several of his players in college with scholarships, and knows that sports will bring both success and failure, but the difference is a winner always gives 100% effort to help their team.  Chuck excels in helping players expand their skill set and build the confidence necessary to enjoy the competition.  Working together with a young person to bring this confidence out to maximize potential is a privilege above being just an instructor.

Brack Hudson

Baseball Instruction – Pitching, Fielding, Catching, and Hitting

Baseball has been the center of Brack’s life for over 25 years, first as a player and now as a coach/instructor. Through those years Brack has had the experience of being taught by many great players and coaches. One thing that has always been at the forefront of his success is that perfect practice makes perfect play. Repetition and dedication build a platform for the fundamentals of baseball. Once the foundation has been put in place then the player can begin to utilize these fundamental skills.

Brack’s goal as an instructor is to embed these skills into each player’s lifestyle and build their character not only on the field but off the field as well. Each moment with a player/student is an opportunity to introduce the importance of leadership and good sportsmanship which, in Brack’s experience, leads to a boost in the player/student’s performance at school, work, and in the community.

“In baseball, my theory is to strive for consistency, not to worry about the numbers. If you dwell on statistics you get shortsighted, if you aim for consistency, the numbers will be there at the end.” – Tom Seaver

“Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again. That’s the way life is, with a new game every day, and that’s the way baseball is.” – Bob Feller
